It's 6.18am and I'm blogging. I love this time of the morning, the peace and quiet before the household erupts into a frenzy of preparing for another day. I'm fresh, full of energy and ready to conquer anything. Before 8.30am no problem seems to big to tackle. It's after that when the phone starts ringing and day officially starts that everything gets a little more distracting. So, I wake up early and get my administrative work out of the way. I'm busy at the moment. I have a number of loan applications in various stages of the process. Some are cruisy vanilla deals that any lender would be happy to approve and some, well some aren't quite that easy. So, I have a fair bit of work to do today. But, I'm also going to spend part of today working on my marketing. I need to keep the momentum going so that I'm constantly busy, if I slow down on the marketing while I'm busy writing loans, then I'll hit quiet patches down the track - and I don't like quiet patches. Let's face it, the worst case scenario is that I could get too busy and have to farm loans out to other brokers. Somehow I don't see that as being a problem. So already this morning I've logged onto LeadSearch and purchased twenty-five $2.00 leads. They don't look that flash but as I call them all up today, they'll all go into my database and with their permission, on a regular basis I'll email, mail or call them. And who knows, there could be some immediate opportunities amongst them. I mean these people took the time to visit a website and make an inquiry about a home loan, so they must have some interest right? I'm thinking about getting some gimmick, a fridge magnet, a calendar, something that has my name and brand on it. Then, with every one of these cold calls, I'll confirm the leads address and mail one of these things out to them. That way they've got something from me and they've seen my name. With any luck I'll pick something that they'll keep and who knows when they'll think to give me a call. Right, I'm off to Google to look for knick-knacks. Wish me luck. |
